The nearest airport is Cagliari, roughly two hours’ drive to the south-east. The area is also known for its mining heritage, with the abandoned village of Ingurtosu and the mineral works at Montevecchio within reach for a day out.

Getting There

Cagliari Elmas Airport is the most convenient arrival point, with Alghero and Olbia offering alternatives at considerably greater distance. From Cagliari, the drive takes in the SS131 and then the roads heading north-west towards the coast. Allow around two hours, more in high season when traffic builds on the approach roads.
